The two firms are going to start the partnership in Singapore by launching, as a pilot, OCBC MyOwn Account.
Aiming to expedite its new customers by four-folds in Southeast Asia, OCBC has confirmed its five-year partnership with Disney in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
It will unveil its advertising campaigns, financial literacy communication, financial products and experiences based on Disney theme by Star wars, Marvel, Pixar and Disney.
The OCBC MyOwn Account will debut on 20 October soft-launched with the bank’s app beginning in Singapore.
To attract the customers Disney and Marvel theme photo zones will be set up in OCBC Wisma branch.
The financial tips will be provided to young customers through print and digital mediums through activity sheets, disney-concept comics and other related resources.
As a part of the initiative, OCBC will be distributing more than 100,000 copies of the comics across 110 secondary schools.
In Singapore and Malaysia, select customers will receive access to Disney + Premium and Disney + Hotstar Premium, while other rewards would be Disney-themed for debit and credit cardholders as well as for OCBC 360 and Young Nyala Account customers in Indonesia.
OCBC’s global head of consumer financial services stated, that it wants to give special experiences inspired by Disney’s characters and stories.
Such partnerships will enable in roping in new clients who are new to the financial products, rates or prices. Quek stated that he is optimistic about expediting the aquisition process of the new customers in Southeast Asia in the five year span.
